Service Description

Designed for those 30 weeks pregnant and beyond (but all are welcome!) This class is all about digging into the practical side of birth preparation! Together in Birth Pt. 2 is a heavily information-focused class with hands-on activities sprinkled throughout to keep things interactive and engaging for you and your support partner. We'll focus on what makes birth center and hospital births different, what to expect in both settings, and how to confidently prepare for your upcoming birth—including what to pack in your birth bag, what a birth plan actually looks like, and how to advocate for your preferences no matter where you birth. You'll also learn about the stages of labor and how to work through each one with your support team by your side. Key topics include: Birth Center vs. Hospital Births: Know what to expect, from setting differences to typical timelines and what happens if a transfer is needed. Birth Bags & Birth Plans: Practical preparation to help you feel ready and organized for the big day. Advocating for Your Preferences: Tools and scripts for communicating your wishes with your care team. Navigating the Stages of Labor: Understand each phase and how your support person can help you manage them effectively. This class is designed with a focus on unmedicated (epidural-free) birth but is welcoming and valuable for anyone preparing for birth—whether you plan a medicated birth or are still exploring your options. If you're earlier in your pregnancy (20 weeks or less), you might also consider attending Together in Birth Pt. 1, a class tailored specifically for the earlier stages of pregnancy. If you’d like more hands-on practice with comfort measures and labor coping techniques, we also encourage you to join our Comfort Measures class, which focuses entirely on practical, body-based strategies for labor support. PLEASE BRING ONE SUPPORT PERSON WITH YOU TO THIS CLASS. By the end of this class, you and your support person will feel informed, prepared, and ready to navigate your birth journey—wherever and however it unfolds. This birth class will be taught by: Jensine Pearman, CBS, RYT 200, CPI, PCES Elisabeth (Clinic Manager & Labor Doula) and Vanessa (RN) may co-teach this class depending on availability.
