This comprehensive class is designed to prepare you and your support team for a confident and empowering birth experience. You'll gain valuable knowledge about the stages of labor, comfort measures for pain relief, and what to expect during immediate postpartum care. ** PLEASE BRING A SUPPORT PERSON WITH YOU TO THIS CLASS.** Key topics include: - Understanding the Stages of Labor: Learn how to identify early labor signs, time contractions, and navigate each phase of labor with clarity and confidence. - Comfort Measures for Pain Relief: Master non-medical techniques like breathing, mindfulness, movement strategies, hydrotherapy, massage, and rebozo techniques to enhance comfort during labor. -Immediate Postpartum Care: Prepare for the first hours after birth, including skin-to-skin contact, breastfeeding initiation, and newborn care, while understanding recovery for both parent and baby. -Navigating Birth Center and Hospital Experiences: Gain insight into what to expect at a birth center versus a hospital, typical post-birth stays, and scenarios that may prompt a hospital transfer.
